North Nazimabad was planned in the late 1950s as KDA Scheme 2, a proper planned suburb built for federal government employees, and it still reads that way: lettered blocks, A through U, wide plots that run from 120 up to 3,000 square yards, and homes built for families who entertain at home. Hyderi Market in Block G is the suburb's shopping heart, Five Star Chowrangi anchors Block H, Dolmen Mall Hyderi sits in Block C, and Shahrah-e-Sher Shah Suri carries the Green Line past it all.
